We are coworking spaces thought and designed to create a positive, comfortable, stress-free, inspiring and enriching work experience. A space where you can cowork, connect, share and collaborate with like-minded people, both professionally and personally. A place where the protagonist of our day-to-day is you because we are more than coworking spaces: we are a community.

To generate a work environment where you don’t have to worry about anything other than getting your work done; we also provide a calendar of activities so that those who wish to connect with like-minded people have opportunities to do so. Because we know by experience that surrounding yourself with other professionals helps to overcome the challenges that entrepreneurs, freelancers and remote workers face every day, also when moving in to a new city.

Our name, Vortex, means vortex in Latin. A vortex is a point in space that generates movement around it, for example, a vortex of a hurricane. That´s what we want to be, the vortex of our community: a point in the space with energy, a place where things happen, where there is movement, where ideas arise, with good vibes and a lot of positive energy that is transmitted between us.

In January 2018, we opened our doors in Valencia with our first coworking space in El Cabanyal, near the sea and the Marina: Vortex Playa. Two years later, we inaugurated the second coworking space in the commercial and financial center of Valencia: Vortex Centro on Sorní street. The following year, in 2021, we expanded our services to include Accommodation through partners, and in 2022 we added services for Offsite y Retreats for companies. In 2024, we opened the doors of our third space: Vortex Ciencias on Peris Brell street, near the City of Arts and Sciences, between the sea and the city.

Cristina Trilles Olaso | Founder and CEO

Cristina is the founder and CEO, the driving force behind Vortex’s vision. In addition to guiding, supporting, and working closely with the team on a daily basis, she focuses on the future of the business: exploring new opportunities, defining strategy, and leading growth. Each Vortex location has a personal touch of hers: the surfboard at Vortex Playa, the piano at Vortex Centro, and her book collection at Vortex Ciencias. An industrial engineer by profession, before starting Vortex, Cristina worked in corporations in the energy sector and lived in several countries. Before returning to Valencia, Cristina spent a year travelling and experiencing coworking spaces around the world.

Andrea Monge Ortega | Operations Manager

Andrea is our Operations Manager. She maintains an overview of the smooth running of our coworking spaces in Valencia, operational processes and overall management; she guides, supports and supervises the day-to-day work of the hosts at Vortex, ensuring that we offer the best experience for our community. Andrea also leads our relationships with our partners and suppliers. As a host, Andrea energises our community, welcomes and integrates new members, and helps our coworkers get to know each other, creating professional and personal bonds between them. Andrea brings a unique perspective on management, service, and experience creation, combining a people-centred business vision.

Aurora Urrea García | Marketing Manager

Aurora is our Marketing and Communications Manager. She prepares monthly reports, develops and supervises SEO and SEM strategies, and manages website maintenance and updates. She defines the communication guidelines that set the tone and style of all our channels, plans the brand’s presence on social media, and designs the newsletter. In addition, as a host, she welcomes new members, integrating them into the community and fostering a friendly, inclusive and collaborative environment, which is key to making people feel connected from day one. Aurora brings a strategic and human perspective to how we communicate and interact, conveying the value of Vortex as a place to connect and build community.
