10 Must visit Cafés in the city center

  1. Petite Brioche: juices, smoothies, toast, homemade quiche, pancakes, waffles, lots of healthy options and our favorite: eggs benedict.
  2. Bar Nodo at Sorní: a traditional place for coffee, toast, and orange juice. Open from 7am to 11pm, the longest opening hours in the area!
  3. Casaní Horno Pastelería: Neighbourhood café with bakery and a variety of pastries, open from 7:30am.
  4. Sabora Gourmet: Coffee, breakfast, pastries,  and a lunch menu on our own street, Sorní.
  5. La Más Bonita: Trendy coffee at Conde Salvatierra, just around the corner from our coworking space.
  6. Bastard Coffee: Coffee, breakfast, and brunch all day, opposite the Mercado Colón, with benedict eggs on the menu.
  7. FAV Coffee: Speciality coffee, matcha, and biscuits.
  8. Syra Coffeea: On Calle Cirilo Amorós with take away speciality coffee.
  9. East Crema Coffee: Speciality coffee on the same street as our Vortex Centro coworking space, with its signature Japanese design.
  10. Mercado Colón: Suc de Lluna BioCafè and Horchatería Daniel, our favourites.

Where to eat for less than €15 at Gran Vía

  1. El Trovador: Traditional restaurant with a daily menu. Definitely, our coworkers’ favorite place! 
  2. Salad Planet: Our healthy recommendation for salads and wraps lovers. Special benefits for V members.
  3. La Petite Brioche: Our next door neighbor also offers tostas, full meals, and brunch, with healthy and vegan options.
  4. Bar Nodo: The one you’ve always had. Daily menu, sandwiches, and a variety of tapas.
  5. Sabora Gourmet: Lots of options and a daily menu
  6. Mercado de Colón: Located just behind our coworking space, with a variety of snack and lunch options. 
  7. El Timbre: At Plaza Cánovas, with a varied menu of portions and traditional local dishes, served in a tavern style.
  8. Raspa Bar: Traditional dishes and tapas for an informal meal.
  9. Llit del Turia: Walk 10 min through the Jardin del Turia for the menu of the day and the best terrace!
  10. Tagomago: Located less than 10 minutes walk from our coworking spaces, at Plaza del Patriarca. With a complete daily menu. 

Homemade takeaway food near Vortex Centro

  1. La Cuina: Endless takeaway options of traditional homemade: paella, fideuá, salads, meat, fish, vegetables, etc.
  2. Casaní Horno-Pastelería: Daily homemade options from traditional dishes to sandwiches and salads.
  3. Kento: Takeaway Japanese food by La Cuina.
  4. Salad Planet: The healthiest option and also one of our coworkers favourites! Available for takeaway.
  5. Lassal: You can find some of their dishes next to Vortex Centro at Supermercado Consum and also at their shops at Cirilo Amorós or Calle Correos, just 5 minutes walk from our coworking space.

  1. Just around the corner from our coworking space is Consum.
  2. If you are looking for organic products we are very close to the Herbolario Navarro in Jorge Juan.
  3. Lidl, located at Gran Vía, 5 minutes walk from Vortex Centro. 
  4. Also, the omnipresent Mercadona, at Calle Roger de Lauria

  1. Papelería Folder Located at Calle de la Paz, offers a wide selection of stationery products and printing services.

Finally, a bit about us and why our know-how is worth reading: Vortex Coworking’s second location in Valencia was this one, in November 2019. Vortex Centro is our boutique coworking space, in line with the neighborhood that surrounds us. The location is unbeatable due to its proximity to the historic city center, the shopping area, and the green lung of Valencia, the Turia Garden. References that our community has the opportunity to enjoy every day, and thus generate these tips and recommendations that we are very excited to share in this blog, with what we have seen and experienced in all these years in our beloved neighborhood.
